Moldflow Plastics Advisers™ (MPA™) Release 7.2

We are pleased to announce the release of Moldflow Plastics Advisers™ (MPA™) 7.2, the injection molding plastics flow simulation tools that help you predict and eliminate potential problems during the early stages of part and mold design.

Key new features of Release 7.2 include:

• Naturally-Balanced Multi-Cavity Support – This new, very user-friendly model-mode allows you to create a naturally balanced runner system from a library of commonly used multi-cavity layouts and significantly reduces the analysis time for such layouts.
• Advanced Geometry Adviser – This new analysis tool checks an imported model for geometric suitability and complexity, and generates early notification of potential problems before you spend more time on a filling analysis or on modeling runner and cooling systems.
• Cooling Circuit Modeling Enhancements - The new Cooling System Wizard simplifies the process of creating cooling circuits. MPA 7.2 also adds the ability to import multiple cooling channels and to assign properties simultaneously to multiple channels and intersections. Further, you can now observe coordinates during editing.
• Enhanced Results Advice – MPA 7.2 allows you to query plastic attributes such as flow-front temperature, pressure drop, injection pressure, and fill-time in the vicinity of weld lines and air traps, helping you make better decisions on their impact on part quality. You can now also query multiple result values simultaneously.

Other enhancements include the ability to query multiply result values, import center-lines of runners in IGES format, and save animation results in AVI format.

LICENSE KEYS:
MPA 7.1 license keys will also work with MPA 7.2. Therefore, customers with valid MPA 7.1 license keys do not require new license keys to use MPA 7.2.

INSTALLATION CD DISTRIBUTION:
MPA customers on active maintenance will automatically receive the MPA 7.2 installation CD. Distribution will start as of November 14, 2005, and be completed by November 21, 2005. If you have not received the software by November 25, 2005, please contact CAD-IT support department.
