Forming and Costing Solutions

Forming Technologies Inc. (FTI) offers a variety of software technologies catering to the sheet metal design, processing, stamping, and tool and die industries. She provides solutions covering the entire product development cycle, from product inception to stamping production. Capabilities include: product feasibility, splitting and wrinkling prediction, thickness prediction, surface strain evaluation, spring-back prediction, draw die development, blank size calculation, nesting of blanks, etc.

  FASTFORM Advanced

FASTFORM Advanced provides product and die designers with realistic formability analysis for virtual prove-out of complex draw dies. Modeling and analysis can be completed in minutes, ensuring the optimal solution. Analysis is based on either the component geometry for early feasibility or on the full tool. Simulation takes into account engineering behavior, friction, binder surface, die addendum, blankholder force, pad pressure, drawbeads, and tailor-welded blanks to produce accurate results.

 

  FASTFORM

FASTFORM provides product and die designers with fast formability analysis for evaluation and validation of stamped components. Try-out simulations are based on either the component geometry for early feasibility or on the full tool, taking blank holder force, drawbeads, and pressure pads into account for improved reliability. It accurately determines if a component can be stamped consistently with minimum cost, while fulfilling all product performance requirements.

  CAT/FORM3D

CAT/FORM3D provides Catia V4 users with fast formability analysis for evaluation and validation of stamped components. Formability analysis is based on component geometry and accounts for material properties, friction, and blank holder force. CAT/FORM3D determines if a component can be stamped consistently with minimum cost, while fulfilling all product performance requirements. CAT/FORM3D is fully integrated into Dassault Systèmes’ PLM environment.

  FASTBLANK

FASTBLANK provides users with a fast and accurate method for developing optimal blank shapes. FASTBLANK accounts for material stretch and deformation. It is specifically designed for estimators, engineers, account mangers, and tool and die designers.

  BLANKWORKS

BLANKWORKS provides SolidWorks users with a fully integrated method for developing optimal blank shapes. BlankWorks accounts for material stretch and deformation as well as bending. It is specifically designed for estimators, engineers, account managers and tool and die designers.

  BLANKNEST

BLANKNEST is powerful nesting software specifically designed for nesting sheet metal blanks on coils. It automatically calculates the best nesting layout to optimize material utilization based on coil width and pitch constraints.
