ANSYS & FLUENT CONVERGE
2007
12 April 2007
Microsoft Auditorium, Singapore
The
ANSYS & Fluent Converge 2007 Event organized by
CAD-IT on 12 April 2007 saw the
launch of the latest release of ANSYS, V 11.0 and the getting
together of the combined ANSYS & Fluent User Community
at the Microsoft Auditorium, Singapore.
Participants were updated with information of numerous product enhancements
and the Technology Roadmap for ANSYS in the upcoming years.
The event drew close to 100 existing and potential ANSYS and
FLUENT users from various engineering disciplines and
industries such as Aerospace, Marine, Defense, Civil,
Electronics and Automotive. This event underscores once again CAD-IT’s commitment to
providing excellent support to the ANSYS community in
SEA.
CAD-IT Consultants (Asia) Pte Ltd, the sole ASD (Authorized
Sales/Support Distributor) for ANSYS in SEA since 1995,
has since 1 Jan 2007 been appointed the new and sole distributor of Fluent in
South
East Asia, a role that was fulfilled by Fluent India prior
to this appointment.
ANSYS V11 comprises quite a few major enhancements in ANSYS
Workbench, mainstream product suite including Pre/Post
processors, solvers, ICEM CFD, CFX, FSI (Fluid- Structure
Interaction), Design Explorer and Designspace as well as
the launch of breakthrough capabilities like Rigid Dynamics
which were presented and demonstrated by CAD-IT's team
of engineers from
Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
Mr Mukesh Agrawal from Fluent India graced the event with
a presentation of the latest Fluent offerings. The fact
that FLUENT is now part of ANSYS was well received by
many as there were many participants asking
pertinent questions about the code and its integration
with the rest of the ANSYS family of simulation solutions in a single unified environment.
Microsoft and Hewlett Packard
were the proud partners and co-sponsors in this event. ANSYS users can now
exploit
High Performance
Computing, being fully empowered to
make full
use of the parallel processing power available on their
servers using Microsoft Windows Compute Clusters Server
2003
at a fraction of what the cost used to be.
HP servers, highly optimized to run
Microsoft WCCS and ANSYS/ CFX / FLUENT to solve huge
complex problems effectively and efficiently were
showcased at the event, drawing many excited enquiries.
CAD-IT’s goals of bringing both existing and potential ANSYS and FLUENT users together for a good time of networking, learning
and sharing were fulfilled.
Those who came were once again assured of the strong
partnership between ANSYS and CAD-IT as well as their
partnerships with HP and Microsoft.
CAD-IT would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU
to all our valued customers for giving us the
opportunity to be your partners in simulation. We remain committed to providing excellent service and
support to our valued customers, be it in sales,
administrative or technical support and services.
