Call
for Papers - 6th ANSYS ASEAN User Conference
The
6th ANSYS ASEAN User Conference
will be held
in
Singapore in Nov 2006.
CAD-IT Consultants (Asia) Pte Ltd is pleased to
invite you to submit an abstract to be presented
during our
6th ANSYS ASEAN user conference.
This conference will offer a valuable
opportunity for users of any of ANSYS’
suite of simulation solutions including (but not
limited to) Multiphyics, Mechanical,
Structural, Professional, DesignSpace,
DesignModeler, DesignXplorer, Emag, CFX, LS-DYNA,
ICEM CFD, DesignSpace, TASPCB, PDT, Autodyn,
ASAS, AQWA etc to exchange knowledge/experiences
and network with industry experts from all
engineering disciplines.
For many years, the ANSYS ASEAN User Conference has attracted
numerous engineering managers, engineers, ANSYS experts and
users from a variety of industries. With the growing
pervasiveness of high performing computing and the increasing
use of ANSYS simulation solutions in more and more industries,
the relevance and importance of this conference amongst the
engineering community has increased significantly over the
years.
By submitting a paper, you have an opportunity to lead
discussions in examining techniques, applications and strategies
in your area of expertise. We are looking for papers that
highlight the role of ANSYS in a specific industry or research
aspect. Any case studies or successful projects that result in
design breakthroughs, innovation, better productivity, higher
quality, shorter lead times and/or cost savings would be
particularly interesting.
We are also interested in papers which furnished intuitive,
intelligent solutions to engineering problems in all engineering
disciplines that impact innovation and bring it to greater
heights and beyond.
Deadline for
abstract
submission is on the 30th June 2006.
Deadline for
full paper
submission is not later than 1st Sep
2006.
We look forward to receiving your paper
contribution.
ANSYS Completes Acquisition
of Fluent
With the acquisition of Fluent, ANSYS has significantly
broadened its offerings in the simulation market. I expect ANSYS
to be an important partner to design engineers in industries,
from discrete manufacturing, oil and gas, chemicals, food
processing, as well as to environmental scientists studying how
pollution propagates and oceanographers trying to predict the
effects of global warming. Ships, airplanes, cars, your PC,
home, office building and the environment -- all will work
better, be more efficient, pollute less or be better managed as
a result of a better understanding of the dynamics of the gases
and liquids in which, and with which, they operate," commented
Daratech CEO Charles M. Foundyller.
ANSYS Signs Definitive
Agreement to Acquire Fluent
Acquisition Expected to be Accretive to Non-GAAP EPS
Immediately After Closing SOUTHPOINTE, Pa., Feb 16,
2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/

files. It was developed as a FREE utility to benefit
everyone involved in the plastics injection molding
industry. Whether you are involved in the earliest
stages of injection molding part and mold design or in
the part production itself, you can take advantage of
the Moldflow Communicator today.
Knowledge
enabled FMEA from Goldfire Innovator 3.0
The need for effective FMEA deliverables is
increasing due to the challenges of more complex
product requirements and more demanding operational
environments. Yet, the availability of subject
matter experts with deep corporate memory and broad
scientific experience is rarely adequate, and
decreasing rapidly as the work-force ages. It is
into this demanding set of circumstances that
Goldfire Innovator delivers value by fulfilling the
two most critical steps in the FMEA process. First,
its Function Model provides and objective and
prioritized inventory of the components and
functions, and of their relationships and behavioral
parameters. This becomes the basis for determining
an FMEA’s scope. Second, the semantic access to
contextually relevant concepts provides
comprehensive yet precise insights into how and why
functions fail, the effects that those failures can
exhibit, and the strategies used to avoid and
mitigate the failures’ risks. No longer are these
critical processes limited to the personal
experience of those engineers assigned to the task.
Through the integration of unique semantic concept
retrieval technology with proven problem-solving
methodologies and proprietary content, Goldfire
Innovator helps companies perform FMEA tasks faster
and far more thoroughly. Organizations benefit from
reduced time and personnel costs. Additional
savings are realized in terms of more effective risk
management. And higher quality products and
delivered sooner to the market thereby increasing
top line revenue and market positioning.
